| 207469 | 2004-01-15 06:44:00 | nah stick in some more ram and u can run 2k on nething. Just yesterday a friend installed 2k on a Cyrix 200mhz with 96mb RAM. He reckons it runs way better than 98SE he had on it previously. I know theres a slight difference in speeds but those Cyrix chips were never top preformers. Everybody seemed to be reckonmending ME at the start of this thread, and 2k whoops the pant off ME. | Pete O'Neil (250) | ||

| 207471 | 2004-01-15 07:15:00 | I have Win2000Prof on my modest PentiumPro200S, (98 Meg ram) dual booted with Win98SE. It works with no problems and I now almost always use 2K rather than 98SE even though the older o/s was my main C drive boot up. Just a little longer to get started and shut down. Regards Robert. |

| 207472 | 2004-01-15 08:34:00 | Ive run Win2K on a Laptop I used to have.. P120Mhz w/48MB RAM Was good for playing MP3's, surfing etc, but try and open MS-Office or Lotus notes (Or even both at the same time!) and it'd take its time obviously... Win2K can be made faster than Win98 if you really kill off all the un-needed services! |
