207522 2004-01-15 00:36:00 Just bought a new printer, a canan i865, and it works fine, except NZAGOLD does not recognise it. I t is still trying to print off the old printer, even though its not there, and the new one is set to default.

NZAGOLD does not list it anywhere in the setup menu thing, only the old printer, and lots of other ones.

Can anyone help?

207525 2004-01-15 00:52:00 Hmmm, that's wierd. The only time I've had problems with NZAGold and printing is when the printer has been changed from say a dot matrix to a laser. But the 2 printers you mention are both ink jet.

Maybe just check anyway - In NZA go to Setup - Form Design.
Then choose the form you are printing (invoice, statement etc) then click on the Select button at the bottom and make sure the Canon printer is selected. Then save the form and exit. Do this for any other forms you may printer.

207528 2004-01-15 01:59:00 IIRC, John who wrote NZAGold has gone and sold out to MYOB and moved to Aus... Retired I think.

There are similar issues with NZ Pro (Which they sell and support at the Cybercafe where I work). It always pays to have the latest, especially with canon and hp printers. Im not sure why but those two always seem the most problematic. Driver updates usually sort them out good :-)

Just a thought to keep in mind.... ;-)

It is very confusing when you have to do that. They will tell you that you need to upgrade (About $800) and sometimes you need to run it in compatability mode depending on how old the program is.
