207748 2004-01-15 22:07:00 Hi all

Can someone advise me on how or where my spell checker option went to in Outlook express 6 and how I can get it back?. It is still there it's just grayed out.
I think it was there before I downloaded all the critical/security updates from the update site?
I have Win xp home edition.

regards: Tom

207749 2004-01-15 23:42:00 Have you deleted any of your office programs? I copied this from OE Help. "Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available." gerrypics (323)

207751 2004-01-19 07:31:00 You need

1. As someone said Word, or something with a spellcheck

2. A file called csapi3t1.dll which is on the XP CD. I cant remeber which CAB file it's in/ Once found it needs to go here.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof

Then the spellcheck works in Outlook
