| 207704 | 2004-01-15 10:52:00 | heya! i don't seem to be getting access to my hotmail account . i recently change my password and i am sure that i type it correctly everytime . when i try to connect to MSN Messenger it says that my password was invalid when i try to connect to hotmail through the internet explorer its just takes me to a "this page cannot be displayed " page can someone please help as i have important people i need to communicate with ! Thanks in advance |

| 207705 | 2004-01-15 12:10:00 | Iv'e also experienced that I was un-able to log on to Messenger because I received a message that my password was incorrect, when I knew for 100% that it wasn't. Very strange, maybe time to switch over to Yahoo messenger or ICQ ;) |

Delete cached files Tools....internet options.....delete files button then close and reopen IE, try your hotmail account. 2. ensure cookies are enabled 3. check time and date on your pc Try contacting MSN see if they can help lastly delete cookies (you will loose any automated logins you may have set up for other web sites) |

Then ensure you never have anything of inmportance sent / received or held on Hotmail/messenger . My son's messenger was compromised two days ago . Someone got into his mate's messenger - requested to be added to all his mate's friends, once received authorisation to be added from my son, he established what my son's password was, then got into his messenger, added another name, changed his profile, changed his password, etc etc . My son's messenger uses a defunct Paradise email address as a sign in, so no Hotmail connection . I became aware when I saw my son 'come online', when he was sitting right beside me . I spoke to this bozo who fessed up that he wasn't my son and knew how to access passwords so I challenged him to find the password of mine . He had it within 5 minutes, and changed my profile to something hideous . He told me what the password was then signed me out - and I had to change it to get back in . It wasn't an easy password - combination of numbers and letters - I was a little bit impressed actually . I guess if a few know how to do this then it spreads - like the proverbial 'tell two friends' . Given the number of contacts some of these kids have on their messenger . . . . J :D |

| 207710 | 2004-01-16 03:23:00 | First claim down take a deep breath & go outside and have a drink, clear your mind . 2nd I have no problems with yahoo website or yahoo messages or msn website / messenger (I use MSN messenger version 5 . 0) (I have been signed in to both yahoo & msn messenger all day) Now have you rebooted your computer even shut it down & turn the power off for an hour or so???? Have you clear out your Temporary Internet Files / cookies??? Have you check time and date on your pc???? Have you tried a different ISP???? If you can, a different computer??? Who is your isp???? Can you go over to a friends place and try there or an Internet cafe???? What OS do you have???? | 207713 | 2004-01-16 07:46:00 | well . i cleared all my internet cookies , temp internet files . i changed my security to "mediun high" and i cleared my history My ISP is xtra . and i have windows Xp pro . i also tried to make a new account . i have msn messenger 6 . 1 and i also have MSN explorer . none of my family members can log on . please help |
