208129 2004-01-18 03:39:00 WE have regular mail service via NZ Post. we are a part of NZ so costs thru the mail system are about the same. Also have own airline that is based on the island that freights every flight @ about $3. per kilo.

Yeah if we have breakdowns it means ..send to nz for fixing under warranty and we pay freight charges.

208130 2004-01-18 04:16:00 I have purchased pc's in the past from Quay and have found them to be good long term reliable machines. I think they are one of the few Wgtn assemblers than get a mention in the Consumer reliability reports. I would tend to go for Quay (you can see/touch/play with a pc before you part with your hard earned cash) what you are getting although you probably pay a bit more than Dell as they are smaller. 208131 2004-01-18 04:22:00 I wouldn't recommend building it if is your first pc... it can go very smoothly... or it can be a nightmare if you get components that, for whatever reason, don't want to work together. Maybe once have your own pc, upgraded it a bit (maybe)... then buy a cheap second hand "play" pc (which is what I did as I did not want to blow up $200 motherboards). The you could setup Chatham Island Computers :D Dolby Digital (160)

There may be someone in this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) who may be interested if Eliza wishes to contact someone. Eliza might also like to take a look at the Building/Buying a PC FAQ (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) as well. Note that this page may take some time to load.
