| 208079 | 2004-03-09 19:52:00 | The google (http://toolbar.google.com/) pop up stopper seems to work ok with IE. I use Opera but the family still use IE so I feel safer with that installed, free and easy to use. sam m |

I might feel more comfortable exploring them if I can switch around. I have used both googles and alta vista's pop up stoppers and they work. Also the Alta Vista one has the translate fish on it. |

If you're remotely interested in comps and not just an end user you'll find it fun anyway. No probs with pop-ups, less vulnerable to attacks, easy to tidy up after a session. Doesn't work at all sites though so good idea to keep the much maligned but popular and useful IE for those sites alternative browsers don't work in. Try it, your comp most probably won't explode. :D |
