208219 2004-01-18 05:45:00 Hey all, I am in the market for a dvd player for the home.

Wanting one on the cheap but getting the most bang for buck.
Looking to spend ~$150 and would like multizone

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

208220 2004-01-18 06:52:00 Look at the DSE Mustek models.

Well under your price range, and they have everything.
Multi Zone, Macrovision defeat (with help from a websearch), play everything (.jpg, MP3, DVD, VCD, CDA....) 5.1 sound.
I know about 10 people that have these and all are happy.

208222 2004-01-18 08:48:00 I'm happy with my mustek too (although I did pay $220 for it ;-().

The first one I got had problems with skipping, but the replacement has been great.

208223 2004-01-18 09:33:00 Get the Mizuda 331K from Woolworths or Foodtown -- fantastic buy at $129.
Great audio quality, multi-zone, progressive scan and has been the subject of some great reviews.
I have one and for the price it's excellent!
Check out this review (www.audioenz.co.nz).
