| 208648 | 2004-01-20 17:47:00 | Hehehe.... I use a combination of all of the above (Except Aida32, never had it handy when I need it)! WindowsUpdate will usually give you basic drivers, possibly sound, possibly display drivershq.com is good, but how do you know what to search for? There's major differences between the bt878 and the saa7134 series TV-Tuner cards although they look similar on the outside! Booting Knoppix has become my favorite solution, you can run: cat /proc/pci and it'll give you pretty good info on the hardware within... All else failing, the best method is to pop the case open and peruse the contents of your PC :-) ...And as far as I was aware, MS excuse was there was some wee country around pakistan that hadnt hear they were cutting support early enough to do anything about Upgrades, so they thought they'd give them until the release of Longhorn... Crazy....! Hope this helps Chill. |
