| 208591 | 2004-01-20 03:03:00 | Hi. I used to use WinAmp 2.9x but downloaded 5.01 yesterday. Now I don't get "surround" sound with my speakers, WinAmp only uses the front 2 (when playing audio and movies). How do I make it use all 4? (The computer and SoundMax software is set on quadrophonic (4) speakers). | JamesStewart (874) | ||
| 208592 | 2004-01-20 05:35:00 | I tried that too James, with 5:1. It's useless with anything but 2 speakers (and too tinny with more). Unless I spose, you can add a equaliser setting. I have the soundmax sound too. I ditched it, and use Jetaudio or Windows Media. BOTH play thru 5:1 for me. |

| 208595 | 2004-01-20 10:43:00 | There is a plugin for Winamp on the winamp site that will utilise 5.1 sound, however my Winamp 5.01 is playing full surround sound with my 6.1 speakers without needing the plugin. Have you configured your sound drivers properly? | Odin (227) | ||

| 208597 | 2004-01-21 03:25:00 | Yup I can use 5:1 thru XP and Jetaudio and WPM and everything else. So, the setup is configured on mine. But Winamp. Oh well |
