2004-01-19 07:54:00 | Hi I am running Win98, I loaded quick time6. After I up graded from Q5, I noticed all my photos from my digital camera came up on Quick time movies, and not on Quick time picture viewer. Some how the program that opens these photos has gone way ward. I do have a Nikon program to view them. But I use to be able to view all my photos files from my document. No such luck, they now come up in QTmovies. So if you can help, or have any ideas on how to view these. My kids will love you, and the wife might start talking to me again. | slowlearner (5099) | |
2004-01-19 08:05:00 | try reinstalling quicktime and make sure pictures are associated with quicktime picture viewer | Megaman (344) | |
2004-01-19 08:19:00 | I have tried that, but it still wants to read them as Quicktime movies. It seems to go to QTmovies by default. Its got me stumped[but thats not hard] | slowlearner (5099) | |
2004-01-19 08:30:00 | hmmm... go into the properties and make sure it's a picture file (.jpg, .gif, .png etc.) if it isnt open paint (start, programs, accesories, paint), open the file and then "save as" a .jpg. then try. if it still doesnt work try properties, and make sure the "open under" properties is quicktime picture viewer. | Megaman (344) | |
2004-01-19 12:54:00 | Use the Quicktime preferences in Edit > Preferences > File Associations (in the drop down list) to specify what files you want associated with what. Hit the "File types" button once once you choose the Associations in the list and select or deselect whichever files you desire. Cheers Murray P
