2004-01-20 22:47:00 | This just came through on the NZ Lug list and I thought I'd post it here: [url=http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,3604,1127295,00.html] www.guardian.co.uk Feel a bit sorry for Mike Rowe, but that's some pretty impressive support he's getting! :-) Cheers Chill.

2004-01-21 01:45:00 | That is as silly as the Harrods one in the North where the owners of the restruant had the last name of Harrod. | mikebartnz (21) | |
2004-01-21 01:53:00 | I find it so hard to believe that a multi billion dollar corporation so afraid of a 17 year old using their real and legal name of Mike Rowe and the word soft after it for a web page. Heck while it might sound like it MS one look and any brain dead moron would know it aint them. What's more I can't believe that they actually unleashed not just one of their high priced lawyers on him, but sent forth a whole platoon of them. For crying out loud microshaft stop trying to be so damned dominating.

2004-01-21 10:50:00 | I read an article earlier, basically the outcome was something along the lines of: "We take trademark issues seriously, but possibly a little bit too seriously in this case." Yeah right...

He knew who Microsoft were when he signed up for his domain, and used the combination of his name and the word "soft" as a play on Microsoft's registered trademark. As such Microsoft had a right to challenge it. Mike. |
