I am operating Win 98SE. When I receive pdf files via the internet they are totally unreadable...hypertext I think. Otherwise I can use Wordpad, save files and reopen them OK. Others using Win ME (I think) have no trouble reading the same message on the net. Can someone help please |

You need to install adobe acrobat reader to open .pdf files. It is up to version 6.0 now and free to download. It will intergrate into IE so that pdf files will open up within the browser and display correctly. |

I have gone right off linking Abode Reader with the web browser because of how slow it makes things and prefer to download the document and use it that way as it is much faster. |

Bingo! You were correct that Adobe Acrobat was the culprit. I had it in stalled but was incorrectly configured for the Net. It managed to fix this on its own and now I can read all PDF files. Thankyou very much for your help. |
