209430 2004-01-23 00:28:00 I reformatted my computer the other day and installed Windows 98SE but Windows didn't have any drivers for my modem or my graphics card so now the computer has generic drivers on the graphics card. I've been trying for days to get the right drivers can someone please help me get the right drivers? Codex (3761)
209431 2004-01-23 00:35:00 How can we help if you don't tell us what modem or graphics cardyou have. BootyLicious (526)
209432 2004-01-23 01:33:00 That's the thing, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I HAVE! how do I find out? Codex (3761)
209433 2004-01-23 01:56:00 For a start, take the covers off and have a look. Most cards are identified. Other wise, there are programmes available. Aida 32 & SiSoft. Both are freeware.

209434 2004-01-23 02:24:00 I just had a look inside my computer but I just can't physically find it Codex (3761)
209435 2004-01-23 02:33:00 Then do what Peter H suggested. find and ownload and install and run those programmes, that's the next step. Not familiar with them myself in the general run of things with comps. that 's the formaula. Chers MC :D mark c (247)
209436 2004-01-23 03:37:00 if you can't actually find the modem or graphics card, perhaps they are onboard. on that case make sure you have the proper motherboard drivers installed.

go to the website that your motherboard comes form (asus, aopen etc..)
and download the drivers for your model.

aida32 will help you to identify you motherboard. and maybe even have a link to the manufacturer's site.

209437 2004-01-23 08:32:00 Go to Google, type in Belarc Advisor and download copy, it is freeware, will give you a summary of everything on your computer.
