209307 2004-01-22 10:00:00 I know that we can send short free text messages from our PC to 021 or 029 Vodafone numbers by logging in to Vodafone's website.

Is it possible to send free text messages to mobile phones in other countries?

Cheers

209308 2004-01-22 10:17:00 A freind of mine claims that you can send unlimited txt meg's to mobile phones through msn messenger,he asked me to enter my mobile phone number into my profile and he would send me a txt msg from aussie.

I told him no way,bad enough 10 monkeys sending me chatter over msn without it turning up on my mobile as well.

....................HA.

well okay,im just not keen on handing out my mobile number(even though its all over my site,on my business card and even on my vechile in bright orange lettering)

Still,he insists its all the go.

209309 2004-01-22 10:28:00 I had my mobile number on my MSN Messenger profile and never got messages from anyone who wasn't already in my phone's contact list.

Anyway, I don't have a clue how some people set up the MSN Mobile service - every activation I get goes to my Vodafone email account, as opposed to my phone.

I think that's an NZ Vodafone problem though.
