| 209707 | 2004-01-28 10:54:00 | Well, I went over to australia for 2 months. Had a great time. Went to the Gold Coast stayed in expensive resort for a week, went to dreamworld twice and movieworld and went shopping etc. Basically spoiled myself haha. Then went over to Perth for 6weeks staying with a friend and went jetskiing every weekend on like the fastest jetski you can buy (122km/hr). Went to the casino a bit and ripped the casino off a few times. Had Christmas down in Albany, a small town south of Perth and went koonaking, fishing and 4wheel driving. At new years eve we jumped the 3m fence into Gloucster Park cos all the tickets were sold out. (Thats the big horse racing track in W.A.). They had a big fireworks display on at midnight, wicked. Made some new friends for life and saw lots of movies like LOTR and Welcome to the Jungle and did random entertainment things, as you do. It was very hot so we went swimming a lot. Also learned how to surf on a surf tour and went surfing a few times. Went skydiving way out at a place called York, an hour away from perth. 14000ft jump - awsome stuff. Got the $100 video to prove it! Went to margaret river, one of the top 5 surf spots in the world, a great little town known for its wineries and caves as well. We didn't see much surf but saw a few topless chicks at the beach. :O Apparently the surf is best in the winter. Went over to Rottnest Island, an island just off the coast of perth. Went snorkelling in the open water for the first time, so cool. Then headed back to Auckland where I stayed with an old friend from kindergarten and we had kept in touch all these years. We went to devenport for the views on the top of the mountain and went to mission bay for a bike ride. Then we headed on down to Hamilton for Parachute 04, the big 3day concert. It is the biggest Christian concert in the world outside the U.S., 25000 people. Everyone stays in tents for the 3days, great fun. Newsboys put on one hell of a performance! Then stayed monday in a nice motel and saw the Torque movie. Me and my mate tried seeing that on the megascreen in auckland (old name imax) but the seating was bad. The person we were talking about it to pronounced the movie "tour- kew". We had a good laugh about it - go back to school!! Anyway, thats where I've been. Can anyone else beat my holiday? I blew like 7 & 1/2 grand hehehe. |

| 209714 | 2004-01-28 22:29:00 | Hi PoWa Great trip. Any time you want to repeat the drop - "Went skydiving way out at a place called York, an hour away from perth. 14000ft jump - awsome stuff", call in at Motueka airport. We shouted my wife a tandem parachute jump for her 65th. From 4,000 metres. She love it and almost daily looks skyward and says something like "There's my plane". She's keen to do it again, but it cost about ten days pension so we'll perhaps make it on her 70th. | Scouse (83) | ||
| 209715 | 2004-01-29 00:26:00 | Beetle struck again, i am safe to go nowhere. while at my sons Kindy today he was on the kindy puter while i was watching, and it majorly froze, and ended up being shut down and rebooted, twice due to it not responding the first time...... so my electric personality has resurfaced again. :D and as far as i am aware they have had no problems with it up till now....lolololol but it does run Win 98, that could explain things. :p and i did not touch the stupid thing, entirely not my fault...... beetle |
