2004-01-26 18:44:00 | mmmm well i've backed off because back in the day I was at university, so i had a whole lot of time on my hands. Now i'm working I don't have the time to check the forum as much. I do check regulary but don't speak as much, there are new-comers that have come through and are doing a good job. I also agree with Terry in regards to the type of errors people are now having, XP has taken a lot of the fun out of that :-)

2004-01-26 19:44:00 | Could I add that PressF1 has become very busy, and it is almost impossible to keep up with all of the threads (unless one spares time for only breathing and basic bodily functions). It has got to the point where various items have been well addressed and adding a flippant comment or something doesn't really add to it and just annoys people who get emails just to read something silly (like this posting now, some irony in that). When is the chatf1 gathering time? I should pop in but often forget and am not late enough for most. robo.

2004-01-26 21:11:00 | Just a note of encouragement for Beetle. You clearly have a busy life. I surmise that you fill a pivotal role for your family. This leads you to putting all of your energy into helping other people without any thought for your self. It's called being a "mother and wife". I also suggest that if you did have lots of spare time you would not enjoy it. You'd be bored. We all need to be needed and to have a focus for our lives. For you, there is your family, the motel, and your own further education. That is a lot to cope with so it is a matter of balance. Encourage the children to help you. Young children enjoy being given responsibility and it is healthy for them. Try and make some quiet time for yourself each day - no phone, demands, etc. Read a book, put music on - even ironing can be peaceful if there are no distractions. Also remember - life would be boring and empty without all the people and work. You just need a little more balance - and appreciation. Cheers Winston

2004-01-27 01:50:00 | W001, you make my day, i know life would be quiet and boring without all of this stuff, but in saying that i would like to slow down just a little. My stress levels must be getting high, and i know this because i get more migranes when that happens...... at the moment im wading through an enormous amount of paper work, boxes, and general crap in preparation for removal due to new carpet going down.....no such thing as an easy life here. and so everything has to come out, and then back in....... where it was and hopefully tidyier....:D and ironing is peaceful the only problem there W001 is we do a lot of those a day.... at least 40 a day at times...... plus all other stuff.... im better off than some people but just wish life would run at a slightly slower pace, it also seems my time is between the hour or 10 pm to 7am, and i do sleep some, thanxs all, this was not intended to be a post about me, due to the fact i try to steer away from waffle now, but was aimed at people not here any more, some must have a good holiday then, some just may not come back or some have new names???? ok spot ya later, work to do and a desk to find under this mess.:D beetle

2004-01-27 03:30:00 | How on earth did this thread spring past me?! I'll personally say, that I reckon the amount of technical postings hasn't wavered [too] much, but it seems there are less off topic posts compared to, say, the easter holidays last year (I don't have evidence to back that up, I'm just running off my memory). And I wasn't able to contribute much on the forum recently, as I was off in the semi-wilderness (oh all right, Whananaki) Jan 17-21, had to visit school on the 22, didn't do much on the 23, went to Rotorua 24-25, and now it should be back to normal - school starts tomorrow :_|

2004-01-28 08:59:00 | diffenitly difficult to keep up with so muc going on here at PF1. but since this post a few of the ones i have not seen for a while have surfaced. we seem also to have got into an amazing amount of multiple postings revolving around certain threads and being female, i not sure what the division would be male - female ratio on PF1 any one hazard a guess? Chat seems to be suspended a little at moment due to so many people away and so busy which hopefully will pop back into life in the future. life goes on beetle

2004-01-28 09:15:00 | If you want an estimate based on memory and a self-selecting test I did here (and elsewhere, so it is a little off) half way through last year, it might be about 10 females for 25 males. But that's probably active users; considering the user count is over 8000 (I think), I don't really recall seeing over 2300 female personalities around here.
