209755 2004-01-24 22:09:00 I am helping a lady fix her computer. We have reloaded xp and now everytime the thing reboots to continue with the set up it boots to safe mode and we get the following message "Windows XP setup cannot continue run under Safe Mode. Setup will restart now". Set up restarts and exactly the same thing happens.
What can we do - she doesn't want to reformate if she does not have to.
Many Thanks,
Danny

209757 2004-01-25 19:10:00 The hardware might not be compatible with Windows XP. How old is the PC?

To run the Windows Upgrade Analyzer, type:

CD drive:\i386\winnt32 /checkupgradeonly

Just a thought, hope it helps.
