| 210047 | 2004-01-26 04:41:00 | Hi there people, Does anyone/body have any idea good/bad on Microtek ScanMaker 3800 or 3840. (usb) Have had it with my 3.5 year old HP ScanJet 3300C scanner. Even from the first week the thing never fuctioned properly, but being me I put up with it. Your thoughts please. cheers merlin-nz ;-) |

| 210048 | 2004-01-26 06:13:00 | Been running Microtek 3800 (usb) with Win XP Home Edition just over 2 years, have had no problems since a few hiccups during the initial installation. The Lightlid is not really worth buying, it does work but leaves a lot to be desired. |

Just search on Microtek ScanMaker 3800 Most were not impressed with the resolution, and describe it as a "budget scanner" that will do just the basics. At the price they consider its OK, but its apparently cheap (and discontinued) |
