2004-01-26 16:18:00 | Thanks for the feedback guys... I have all the fans in there cos my case is in one of those computer desks. Not much free air flow so I decided to add the fans to allow for this, I've never had any problems in the past, even when I used to overclock my FX 5200 card, but I have a fan installed on that too. Would buying a new PSU solve the problem? Guess I won't know until I do, besides you can never have too many PSU's laying about aye? cheers chiefnz

2004-01-26 16:53:00 | Why not just buy another fan? :D | JJJJJ (528) | |
2004-01-27 04:33:00 | I will say it again: if a measuring device gives the same strange voltage (down to the last millivolt :O) on two power supply units, the strangeness is most likely to be in the measuring device. | Graham L (2) | |
2004-01-27 05:41:00 | Hyena are the biggest peices of S $% on the market and should be avoided like the plauge. iCute are meant to be alright but nothing beats a good Antec or Enermex. Deffinatly check it with a multimeter sounds like it maybe be a problem with the circuit monitoring the voltage. | Pete O'Neil (250) | |
2004-01-28 00:02:00 | Hey guys well eventually I managed to use my multi-meter, it reads just over 12+, 12.005V+ to be exact. Also I went into the bios and in the bios it reports the voltage just under 12+v @ 11.977+V, so I think there maybe somehting wrong with the way that Asus PC probe reports or measure the voltages. Pete where can I get my jands on a Antec or Enermex PSU? cheers chiefnz

2004-01-28 00:34:00 | The voltage sensors can be inaccurate, it took a bit of tweaking to get mine to match the multimeter. A local computer shop was able to order in my enermax.

2004-01-28 00:51:00 | havent bothered to check my voltages with the multimeter but I'm tempted cause I have an asus mobo too and the voltages reading usually about 11.3 but 11.187 just now. ! .........gawd... ! | drcspy (146) | |
2004-01-28 00:54:00 | interesting.......just rebooted and checked teh voltages in the bios hardware monitor and it showing 11.9............... | drcspy (146) | |
2004-01-29 07:55:00 | those real voltages sounds fine, iCute PSU's are pretty good. But if you would like to get a Antec or Enermex: www.stylespc.com www.overclockers.co.nz im not too sure where u can get Antecs in NZ
