210025 2004-01-26 04:28:00 does anyone know what why you're ment to pull the lever is there a right way at all ??? how many people pull up ? how many people push down?

the big questions in live part 1

210026 2004-01-26 09:59:00 It doesn't matter which way you pull/push it :) it does exactly the same thing. Just imagine that the bit the sticks out on the lever was on both sides - as you push one down, the other goes up. Get the picture? :D

210027 2004-01-26 10:07:00 Because when people push down they tend to rest their body weight on the mechinisim which causes undue stress to the component. metla (154)

210029 2004-01-26 10:17:00 So what's a water dispenser?

Where I come from, we get it out of taps?

210030 2004-01-26 10:23:00 Well my opinion is that you can pull it up because (on the majority of dispensers), when pulled up you can rest the tab on it's end, and, say, fill up a drink bottle without having to hold the tab down.

I'd push down for filling up a cup though - lazy people might flick it up and let it do it's own thing though.

210032 2004-01-26 11:38:00 Easy!

Pull it up and it will stay up if filling a water bottle.

or

Push it down with your elbow or other part of your anatomy (no comment lol) if your hands are full and you need to fill a cup.

Then sit back at your desk and wonder when your company will get a faster net connection to surf press F1 when should be working (just kidding boss!)

210033 2004-01-26 16:15:00 This is all terribly "cute & twee" for those of us who don't live in offices & don't need water bottles to live.

My suggestion, get a life ...preferably out in the open fresh air.

210034 2004-01-26 19:53:00 Well...........

Those that mainly use up
- Tend to be optimistic
-They are busy people who like to try and fit more time into their day than they have.
- They look forward to the future and often talk using words such as "fantastic", "superb", "sensational"
-Often these up people are popular and succeed at work and also in social settings. They are always the life of the party and are often talked about positively when they are not present.
-Males (aged 18-30) that mainly use up consider themselves as virile and often can be seen preening themselves in front of any available mirror or reflection that they happen upon.
-Females (aged over 30) are often looking for up males

Those that use down

-tend to be quiet reserved types
-they are 'thinkers' and often can be heard using words (and sounds) such as 'really, 'thats interesting', "hmmmmm", "ohhh"
-they take each day as it comes without really having any firm goals in mind
-their outlook for the future often shows and end with approximate date and sometimes a particular method
-at parties down people congregate in small groups (never more than 5, if another wants to join then 2 from the first group will branch off and form 2 groups of 3) and discuss issues such as, the devasting effects of ozone layer, the loss of rainforests, and also how obnoxious up people are.
-these people tend to graft a hard road to success at work but once there are long term and will perform admirably often without want of praise or reward.
-males (any age) on dates will be polite and act as a gentleman always catering to the needs of their date and will never ever take any liberties, even if they are directed to. They will wait until marriage.
-females (an age) that use down dont go out with down males, they look for up males.

Those that alternate between up and down

- need help........................now!

note: the water tastes the same both ways although up people dont think so
