Just got a new computer running XP Pro. On starting up the system32 folder opens. How do I stop this from happening??? |

Have a read of this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article (support.microsoft.com).
There is a registry fix available that will correct this without you having to manually edit the registry - Item 260, right hand column (www.kellys-korner-xp.com) - System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot. Save the .vbs file to your desktop and then double click it to run. As it will be changing a registry setting, you may wish to create a System Restore point first. |
