210655 2004-01-28 03:22:00 I'm currently using analogx proxy, but that doesn't let me open TCP or UDP ports, so I can't play games like Age of Mythology online. I'm looking for a feature filled free (preferably) proxy (and not web based) to use to share my internet connection between the laptop and main computer.
Thanks.

210657 2004-01-28 03:38:00 Can't. Not enough room, and this is just temporary, until we get into our new house, where we will have a router, along with network plugs in the walls.
List of the protocols it must support:
UDP TCP POP3 SMTP HTTP HTTPS FTP SOCKS

210658 2004-01-28 03:51:00 Oh, how ignorant I am! I just found out that that's what SOCKS is for! TCP and UDP! Unfortunately though, AnalogX proxy doesn't fully support SOCKS5 and UDP, so I still need a proxy. Wilky (776)
210659 2004-01-28 04:36:00 Get Proxy + from

www.snapfiles.com

Before I got an adsl router it did a good job of managing a proxy that supported socks and other protocols (for msn & yahoo IMs etc)

210660 2004-01-28 22:21:00 Proxy+ doesn't let me open TCP ports, so I cannot connect to the ESO servers for Age of Mythology. Any others? Wilky (776)
210661 2004-01-28 22:30:00 What I need to do is open a range of TCP ports.
(support.microsoft.com)

I have SocksCap to handle UDP for directplay so the proxy will have to include SOCKS too. As well as all the standard protocols.

210662 2004-01-28 23:45:00 Ok, here's what i did (but i have a router, so i dont use this).

Go to microsoft, and download microsoft server 2003 (180 day trial). It has built in proxy, and as a chunky server im sure itll do the job.

How much space do you have?? it needs 1.5 GB....
