210478	2004-01-27 09:59:00	Several of the games our 3 and 5 year olds play seem to change the screen resolution to 640 x 480 and then change it back to 800 x 600 when they finish but the desktop picture sometimes loses clarity as a result. I have to go to Desktop then Properties then Settings to reaccept the 800 x 600 resolution to get the usual quality of picture back again, which is driving my husband batty. I also found the same problem has been occurring on our preschool computer when I used it today. I am running WinME and think the preschool one is Win2000. Any suggestions???	Alison (2911)
210479	2004-01-27 10:56:00	I'm tired, so I apologise for the irrelevance of this post, but: Get rid of Windows ME. Ditch it. Burn it. Oh dear, you don't want to touch it. (Sorry fans, but my last experience was the last straw. I had to install it for a friend (he had recovery disks), and when installing, it didnt recognise his video card's drivers, so ran at 640 x 480, and as a result, the little menu in the setup screen covered up the "Accept" radio button for the EULA.... we couldn't get any further, AT ALL... Ok so that too, was off topic....)	Growly (6)
210480	2004-01-27 10:58:00	Oh here's another more productive thought : Little children games often run at lower colour depths, like 256 Colour. infact some games run incorectly without this. It may be that your computer is not automatically resetting the colour depth settings (i presume you used 16bit or higher). I often blame software, but there isn't much that i know you can do.... (short of fixing the software). If there is, do tell!	Growly (6)
