| 210449 | 2004-01-27 08:57:00 | Weird things is a happening my end! My Microsoft USB intellimouse is intermittently failing on me. That is every now and again, all the little LEDs' inside go off and I am not able to get any response from my mouse. Using the USB to PS2 adapter that came with it, I have tried using the mouse in both USB and PS2 ports. As to be expected I guess, when on the PS2 adapter the internal speaker would chime when the mouse failed. When connected directly to USB, windows would chime through my normal speakers, like a loging off sort of sound. I was wondering: is this the sign of a mouse on its way out. Or a virus thats giving my hardware and myself grief?!? I have also tried plugging it into different USB ports... so far so good on my front USB port. Im sort of hoping that Murphys Law will come into play as soon as I post this and Ill figure out the problem, and all will be well ! :D I have also tried plugging it into different USB ports... so far so good on my front USB port. |

| 210450 | 2004-01-27 09:37:00 | Read some interesting info on this the other day. It seems that some games software (Half-Life, specifically something to do with Steam) is giving shutdowns of MS Intellimouse after installation. Does this tie up? |

And that engine is far from any thing that is Half Life, yet there may be something similar between the two... Thanks for this feedback! So far, no reoccurring problems, if stuffed the mouse into a different USB port and so far so good. |
