| 210337 | 2004-01-27 06:55:00 | Credit where it's due - All (yes ALL) my spam has disappeared from my Xtra account. I used to be in to win tens of millions of dollars every day, but ever since the Spam Filter was installed, I've had nothing. Well done Xtra. :D Cheers Miami |

I was still getting the fake Microsoft emails (aftermath of the Swen worm/virus) when Xtra's system began. I didn't have the virus, but the spam was a daily pain in the neck. Apart from occasional one-offs, that was my only spam. I asked them to remove it before it got to me. They did so. Since then (mid-November) I've had 3 emails which slipped through their system. All were clearly marked as Virus? I sent them back to Xtra before deleting, using their own facility to keep them updated. I have no idea what my current spam totals are - and I'm delighted that I don't have to know. Mark me down as another who is perfectly happy with Xtra's filter system |

| 210340 | 2004-01-27 09:27:00 | On 2nd thoughts miknz: I must confess my spam was basically from one source - and I've not been on the Internet long enough to get a flood from hordes of sites (though the industrious Nigerians did find me, of course) So I wonder what SORT of spam you're getting that Xtra's not coping with? Is it one type only or several? Porn or personal attribute alteration? Or just junk of all sorts? If those of us who're satisfied are in for a shock later, you'd better tell us what kind of shock. |

| 210341 | 2004-01-27 10:40:00 | Certainly a major increase in spam here. Considering I usually receive none, 10 a day since yesterday but only on my disposable email address. All offerring to enhance a physical attribute.... My question is just how do they know I need it? I don't operate a webcam, its really quite eerie isn't it? I can't decide which product to choose, anyone tried any of them and able to advise? |

| 210343 | 2004-01-27 11:43:00 | I've noticed a massive increase in spam in general, from about 10/day to alleast 30 now. And they are trying much harder to get past filters. Most of it is full of so much random garbage (to fool the filters) I can't even tell what they are trying to sell. It took almost a week for my filter (Popfile) to adapt correctly to the new stuff. The software xtra use will take a while to adapt too. |

What intrigues me is that the same marketers haven't developed a female version of this ....well, as far as I know. Maybe others with a richer collection of spam can prove me wrong? For example, is anyone offering me bigger boobs? (Sorry Bruce. Censorship may be required. Get the padlock out & ready) Perhaps I could start feeling left out? Or perhaps I could start thinking like a spammer - and deciding who'd be more likely to fall for such stuff? Sorry, guys....I love you all, really |
