| 210263 | 2004-01-27 01:11:00 | There's at least one new Windows worm running amok, possibly a MIMAIL variant, as of this morning. This is a nasty one that forges email headers, and runs a dictionary attack against mail servers. Causes email bounces galore. Update your anti-viruses now and if you suspect you are infected, *disconnect* from the Internet immediately. -- Juha |

| 210265 | 2004-01-27 04:15:00 | I have already received this virus today - WORM_MIMAIL.R in file body.pif. Got my first returned bounced email as well addressed to someone I don't know but has my addy as the return address. Ihug filtered out the original infected email which shows they are on to it. Although all my emails are downloaded only onto my Linux box which for extra protection. Talk about nasty world out there! Don't open any emails that look out of the ordinary as a matter of routine safe practice. You can read about the latest threats here (www.symantec.com) |

| 210266 | 2004-01-27 04:47:00 | I just received three very suspicious emails, all of which had my dinkum email address, and all of which I deleted (and then emptied the deleted items folder in Outlook) . These are the first nasties I have received since transferring to Paradise a couple of years ago, so I suspect Paradise isn't picking them up . Norton Anti virus didn't either . Two had . zip attachments, and one had a . pif or . pdf attachment that Outlook blocked . Needless to say I have just updated my anti virus definitions which automatically update weekly . |
