| 210390 | 2004-01-27 11:02:00 | Uh sorry, in that post i just posted i replied "man", i meant chill, as in the split second between me pressing "Post Message" and Laura doing so, i must have been beaten. Interestingly enough, as "sexism" was mentioned, i figured i might as well clear that up before something bad happens........... Besides, I'm sure there are more women than you think. *Shifty eyes*.... *Again* |

The teenage girls are becoming tough boy racers, and in many cases are playing violent computer games. (Uh oh, keyboard rubbing off, used Jif to scrub school computers this morning, its still on fingers... ok irrelevant but random) |

| 210392 | 2004-01-27 11:10:00 | Nup, Im not a major fan on pre-built PC's. Would rather build my own ANY day.... If I could build a Laptop, I would... I LOVE knowing what goes into the PC, and that every care has been taken with it. Dont get me wrong, Dell produce some of the best quality PC's, but Ive been upgrading my baby since day 1 which was over a year ago now... Nov 2002 IIRC. Ive gone through keyboards, mice, changed Optical drive from DVD-Rom to CD-R/W (Soon to be a Dual-Format DVD Writer - less than $200), New Case, New Speakers new HDD, new OS, new TV Tuner Card, extra NIC... Had and removed a FDD... A Pre-built PC wouldnt take so many modifications quite so well... For the most of it anyways. On that note, Im looking to buy new Speakers too, and a Laptop soon :-) Chill. |

Ofcourse, my one prebuilt (we got when i was 9), I've changed so much it only resembles the old thing in case. The new one is legendary, and it's equivalent in prebuilt is twice the price :D |

| 210394 | 2004-01-27 11:15:00 | Hi Growly No I don't think you guys are sexist at all. I thought you might think I was. I'm just a bit demoralised at how few young women we have on this forum compared with the boys. Not the men's fault...but where are these girls? Noses in books or partying or what? Or do they think they already know it all & don't need PF1? We have parents of girls on this forum. Maybe they'll give us some answers? |

| 210396 | 2004-01-27 11:49:00 | What i think is even more sad, is that we even have to differenciate between them as if it really matters on these forums. Sure, sometimes the women psyche vs the mens' one would provide for completely different opinions, but It should't really be of great consequence. Nevertheless, I think these girls that you talk about would rather party. I for one am too nerdy to party (just give me glasses and helium), and for that matter have actually got no idea what these girls do, as opposed to come on delighting forums like this and beg for help. OR!!!!! They women are in so much control of the men that they send them to fix their problems, and go back to relaxing by cozy fires. That's right, they ain't here cause they dont need to be. The men have to do all the work. Cue: argument from female side landing me in the middle of what will end up being the demise of men. |

| 210397 | 2004-01-27 12:42:00 | Well Growly ,firstly, I think you should apologise to the members for your sexist comments made towards the female members of this forum,or aren`t you man enough to.Personally,I don`t think we need any sexist fools at this forum. Secondly, after reading all your huff and puff about how expert you are,I notice that you are constantly asking for help, which leads me to believe that you are really out of your depth when it comes to computer problems. You seem to have an opinion on most things, yet no real solutions ,a quick read over your posts will confirm that. Talking the talk, is one thing..but walking the talk is another. ..A. |

| 210398 | 2004-01-27 12:51:00 | I'm confused, i was outlining how weak men are, and i have never said that I was an expert... I mean, I'm so incredibly amazed right now at the extent to which i was misunderstood... Please, you make such bold accusations, before i even begin to start to respond can you please explain yourself? Clearly? - Growly PS. What? Was i really arrogant and bragging? I'm on this forum cause i need help... |

| 210399 | 2004-01-27 12:53:00 | Oh... sexist comments... i ... i thought i was giving women a supposed power in my jokes that i hoped would compensate for, as the others have said, a lack of female presence in these forums... but, please quote me if you think anything has been offensive... PS. Man, i still dont get it.... |
