211104 2004-01-29 09:11:00 Is it playing up now?
as last nite between 9pm and 10pm and tonight since 8pm its been lagging txts by 20mins sometimes 30mins and even got a few txts a hour after they were sent....

whats going on? is it only me having the problem or is it a nz problem?

211105 2004-01-29 09:21:00 bandwidth bandwidth bandwidth...

although at times Vodafone users have the same problems, I would just like to say where would telecom txt users be if vodafone was not forced to allow telecom to use the txt technology?

:)

211109 2004-01-29 19:18:00 I'm aware everyone hates telecom, but we can't deny this $10 thing.

I'm on vodafone and regret, my $0.01 can't get me far.

211110 2004-01-29 19:52:00 i hate telecom myself but i'm deaf hence txting can be "important"
thats why i went onto telecom txtin coz i know i will save a hell of alot of money.....
but then, since i know its only $10, i'm sending more txts than i would have..last month i sent $1,200 worth of txts...so damn i gotta thank them for this...

211111 2004-01-30 00:18:00 i cant understand why anyone would be for vodafone, the only possible advantage to them are that their phones are cheaper and you can go to more countrys, but personally i would much rather support NZ business, and i like the extra coverage my 027 phone gives me in areas where my friends 021 phones show 0 reception i very often have reception. now i know this is a bit of a Rant but i simply can understand how anyone in NZ could pick vodafone and still be considered sane (btw last week telecom hit 54% of the NZ cellphone market YAY) robert6655 (5176)
211112 2004-01-30 00:23:00 Telecom have majour network disadvantages. i am a telecom customer coz of the 10$ txting and i dont regret a second.. BUT it came to my attention a while ago that Telecom do not have the technology to receive a text from a vodafone mobile if it exceeds one standard text message... now im sure you are all aware that most Nokia mobiles phones on the vodafone network allow u to spill over into another txt message if your txt becomes too long.... a telecom mobile will not receive that message as it simply can not read it.

bummer

211113 2004-01-30 00:35:00 thats weird because mine has recieved a txt message, broken into 2 by the nokia phone that was sending it, the person who sent it to me swore that he sent it as one message however i recieved 2 because it was larger that standard txt message size.

on a side note CDMA 1x is the technology used by the worlds armed forces for secure communications and data transfers, it also happens to be the system telecoms 027 network runs on
