I think the only dirfference is that single sided is eaiser and cheeper to make... I dont really know. Check out Compaq's web site, or the manual that came with your comp. | fus1_n (3818) | ||
| 210742 | 2004-01-28 10:25:00 | Hi I810e chipset can support 2 double sided PC100 modules totalling 512MB RAM. Single and Double sided depends on how the memory banks are designed. i810e supports upto 4 banks of 128MB each, meaning if you want to use 256MB PC100 module, it must be double sided (2 banks with 128MB per bank) If you want to use 128MB PC100 module, it can be single or double sided. Hope that helps i810e spec sheet - www.intel.com |

| 210744 | 2004-01-28 23:34:00 | It depends on speeds and motherboard settins, tho many can vary. Your best bet is to stick with what you have :D | Growly (6) | ||
| 210745 | 2004-01-29 10:15:00 | Hi You have 2 slots. Each slot is actually 2 banks (double sided) You may have to get rid of the 64MB module and install a 256MB double sided memory module Cheers |
