| 210804 | 2004-01-28 20:18:00 | Heya all, I am looking to buy a CD/DVD scratch remover/cleaner product, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions, as to what to get etc. Peter |

It is as good as anything you might buy. I have also used Mr Muscle window cleaner without adverse effects. I wouldn't bother with scratch removal products. If the CD/DVD still plays you don't need to, and if it won't, it is probably past any ministrations you might apply. Get it professionally repolished instead. Any Video Ezy or Civic Video store can accept CDs for polishng and they can deal with quite deep scratches. Do a Google search for "disk station" or "CD repair" (New Zealand only) and you will find other agents as well. Of course, if the damage is on the label side or it is a crack then that's the end of it I'm afraid. You should always keep your CDs & DVDs in jewel cases or a CD wallet as label-side damage is easier to cause and unrepairable. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
