1332703 2013-03-14 05:46:00 What is the current best ISP for uncapped internet? Our deal with Kinect ends in october, and we'll probably end up changing. We currently pay $104 a month.

Is they're anything cheaper or around that same price which gives unlimited (No datacaps)?

1332704 2013-03-14 06:12:00 Only ISP that may do it - Orcon (www.orcon.net.nz). But I dont know how good it'll be if its Orcon Genuis Speedy Gonzales (78)
1332705 2013-03-14 06:14:00 It needs to be naked without the home phone. We get our sky dirt cheap with an old Telecom deal way back in 2000. And we never make toll calls etc.

Does this one sound good?
www.compass.net.nz

according to this, We can get unlimited for $79

1332706 2013-03-14 06:17:00 Looks like snap does, with either dsl or vdsl (myaccount.snap.net.nz). Altho dont know if its U/L Speedy Gonzales (78)
1332707 2013-03-14 06:20:00 How much are you currently using on your unlimited plan? I'm on the $119 plan from telecom. 500gb+phone line plod (107)

1332709 2013-03-14 06:24:00 The most we have ever used according to kinect is 168gb. My dad is not willing to pay over $105. I'd guess we regulary use over 100gb. goodiesguy (15316)
1332710 2013-03-14 06:25:00 Orcon do it but it's heavily oversubscribed and pretty slow. I'd go with SNAP, for $115 you get 550GB which is plenty, + unlimited data between 1 and 7 AM. Basically, I don't see any way our flat would go through that at the moment and we have 10 permanent uni students + guests. Also Snap's Internet isn't slowed down in any way (idk about their unlimited, but their average attainable rate is 10mbps stable all day, and around 1mpbs on a torrent, again. All day)

So IMO, Snap? Bloody Decent! If you can get VDSL that would be awesome too!

1332711 2013-03-14 06:45:00 The most we have ever used according to kinect is 168gb. My dad is not willing to pay over $105. I'd guess we regulary use over 100gb.the price I quoted included the phoneline which you have already got through telecom. So it would seem a win win situation. Probably cheaper then what you are already paying and still sticking with telecom for the cheap sky plod (107)
1332712 2013-03-14 06:48:00 Maxnet has a pretty good unlimited plan that isn't slow for $100 per month. Otherwise you could look at Fyx not sure what that would cost for over 100gb though. jonovw (16835)
