1332554 2013-03-13 20:16:00 From Vimeo, a short time lapse video shot mainly in the evening.

Once the sun goes down, and the lights go on, LA becomes transformed. As it surely needs to

Music is quite catchy, but Soundhound doesn't identify it. Hope you enjoy it.

:)

PS just caught the name of the music: "Orchestral Inspiration" by Akashic Records.

keep em coming, things are a bit quiet around here, very boring.

1332556 2013-03-13 22:38:00 Lovely video. I'd love to do a timelapse like that around Wellington but I'd just destroy my shutter :p, need a nice camera with a digital shutter. The Error Guy (14052)

May I ask which camera you have?

1332558 2013-03-14 10:43:00 D3100, entry level Nikon. Was going to upgrade to something flasher but couldn't really justify the price when my current one worked pretty well all ready. Spent the money on lenses :D

Got a few film cameras, but not much point in doing a time lapse with them. I have an app called lapse it which is very good, but because it's for phones I loose the superior control an SLR would have over the tiny little sensor in my S2.

1332559 2013-03-14 11:09:00 Yeah you would lose all that slr control.
Hmm wonder if I could borrow a remote from work with a camera and try to do that for either sunset or sunrise?

1332560 2013-03-14 19:39:00 I guess I could try it on the DSLR, but instead of individual photos record video and then drop 80% of the frames. *should* do the same thing, and I'd have about 60% of the "normal" SLR functions. The Error Guy (14052)
1332561 2013-03-14 20:06:00 Nice video gary67 (56)
1332562 2013-03-15 17:51:00 Great shots there.

I remember doing time lapse about one frame a minute using an old 8mm camera in the 1960s. Not quite the same results that a modern camera can produce.
