1333013 2013-03-19 06:02:00 I find them easier to look at, and more user-friendly at times. e-Ink is good but most e-Readers have screens that are too small, especially for anything that isn't a novel. Agent_24 (57)
1333014 2013-03-19 06:54:00 Paper ceased to be alive when the trees that make it were chopped down, so yes, it is dead. DeSade (984)
1333015 2013-03-19 07:04:00 . . . . but paper books are so much nicer to read, for a start .
Weeeeellllll . . . . , they're ok for a start, but by page three the novelty has worn off . ;)

your reading the wrong books then, instead of a book try The Sun page 3 was always the most interesting page

1333017 2013-03-19 20:11:00 Reading the Sun? We use it for topping up garden lights and filling in the gap between nights, but "they" reckon we must not look at it, even briefly, without special glasses. Maybe page 3 makes people go blind? R2x1 (4628)

1333021 2013-03-21 19:27:00 I love paper books, always did as I am an avid reader. However now I have an eReader. Why? Well printing (I was a commercial printer for 10 years) does an incredible amount of damage to the environment with the solvents diluted in water etc. - China docet.

Nah, leave the trees and our precious water alone and use eInk I say! Lets give our kids a small hope for their future.

And what about all the mining and oil and chemical processing etc and then the eventual resultant eWaste from making eReaders and tablet PCs?

I can't see how getting a Kindle is going to be any better for the environment. At least trees can be replanted.
