211713 2004-01-31 06:11:00 Previously when I have run either of these via Start/Run the details have displayed and stayed in window on screen -- for some reason now when I try it to test machines on network are communicating correctly the results don't display and the command prompt window instantly disappers from screen?
What is going on??!!

211714 2004-01-31 06:22:00 Windows 9x/Me:
Navigate to C:\Windows\
Right Click on Command.com > Properties
Program (tab)
Take the tick out of Close on Exit

Else you can run 'command' from the Run line and then just type "ping machine" in there.

211715 2004-01-31 06:45:00 even if you untick close on exit for command.com its just for command.com not ping.exe or whatever so you'd have to goto ping.exe and untick it MrBeef (342)
211716 2004-01-31 07:21:00 When yo go to the START>run. enter "command.com" and then you get the DOs window. IPCONFIG and PING work normally there. piva (3796)
