I see that you were in as Administrator, even after you had blurred it out.

211424 2004-01-31 01:21:00 Where in the world do these things store their screenshots? Running XP Pro on the Windoze box with the Microsoft Wireless Optical Keyboard.

Pressing the Print Screen key appears to achieve nothing, and I have tried using the two different settings of the F Lock key as well.

Still no apparent screen shots. Sheesh - sorry to be a dill, or is it Microsoft at fault?

211425 2004-01-31 01:32:00 check the instructions again.....

hitting print screen will only copy the screen to the clipboard, then you have to paste it into a graphics program.

211426 2004-01-31 01:32:00 Pressing printscreen should put a screenshot on the clipboard.

Opening any common graphic editor should enable you to Paste to a new document, then save it somewhere.

Why do you figure that, ilikelinux?

Well you can see in the start menu that something is blurred out, lol. It looks like it says Administrator, but it could also be some nerdy nickname that roofus wants to hide?? ;)

211430 2004-01-31 02:03:00 Duh! Sorry about that. I can never remember how to do it in Windoze. On MacOS I used to get an ersatz shutter sound and the screen shot appeared magically as a file.

Will try again...

Thanks

Not terribly artistic, but the pic is of Mueller Hut in Aoraki Mt Cook National Park.

My son was the Project Manager for this replacement for the old Mueller Hut, and he took this pix with Mt Sefton and The Footstool behind.

I keep this on my desktop to remind me that if I was to start my working life all over again, I might make different career choices...
