211250 2004-01-30 11:32:00 **sigh**

Its different, then it must be bad?

I prefer firebird myself, however opera and firebird are both far superior to IE.

211251 2004-01-30 11:45:00 Have no hesitation just d/l this and feel total satisfaction:

www.myie2.com

If you don't and do not explore this add on then I give up.

211252 2004-01-30 11:55:00 Is that an add-on for ie?

if so then i won't be goimg near it,IE is in my ever so humble opinon is so insecure and flawed that the best advice i can give anybody is to avoid it at all costs.

211253 2004-01-30 12:04:00 I second that. PoWa (203)

211255 2004-01-30 12:17:00 Putting a few skins and plugins on top of IE does not change the inherent flaws in it's design. The fact that the line between it and the OS is so blurred is it;s main drawback and that cannot be undone without changing the code of the browser. A leopard painted like a tabby is still a leopard.

211256 2004-01-30 12:30:00 I just use my browser to "browse" and now that I have found MyIE2 I doubt if anything can beat its functionality. I have tabbed browsing, unlimited access to "My Favorites", updated at any time, plus many other small accessories, too numerous to mention, that when I use Netscape or Firebird I feel as if I have just gone back to the dark ages.

211257 2004-01-30 12:48:00 very interesting in that no one else has mentioned the IE add on! but the point i was trying to make that i was going away from using IE partyly for the reasons mentioned by metla and powa with regards to speed .. and also security features. im open to anything but for now it seems like ill go with opera ;-)

thanks to all who have commented and please if there are any more suggestions.. fire away!

;-)

211258 2004-01-30 13:04:00 But IE6 is just as fast, on dial up at least, as any of the other browsers, I cannot understand what you are saying. zqwerty (97)
