A bit hairy or at least feathery I think.

211484 2004-02-02 08:17:00 Here is my screenshot (sal.neoburn.net) of my new Home Entertainment PC which is going in my lounge to be hooked up to my home theatre receiver and speakers.
By the way does anyone know how to get rid of the pale background under the writing on the icons -- sure it wasn't there when I first created the desktop!!?

Thanks

Satelites can take pictures where you can recorgnise people.I recently went into the council about my stormwater seperation and they brought up a pic of my house, backyard, you could see everything in perfect detail.

I was less then impressed but its what you have to put up nowadays i supose.

If your looking for arial shots of NZ the Nasa site did have some spectauler ones,I had one where half the satelite was in the picture and the coast of NZ far below.

Well, if you're running XP then you go: My Computer properties - > Advanced tab - > Performance settings - > Visual effects tab - > check "use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop".

If your not on XP then you might be looking at a 3rd party app.

211490 2004-02-02 12:49:00 Actually, the longhorn side-bar is Black by default, always has been AFAIK.
Its gonna be very heavy on system-resources from what early builds show.

Aside from that, Im still setting up my PC (Formatted this weekend so I could add more strict build flags) and Im trying out Kde.. I think I'll just wait until the final release is out and post a screenshot then :-)

Chill.
