| 212136 | 2004-02-01 10:15:00 | Boy am i having troubles. I am running win2k. Netscape. AVG antivirus (out of date by 8 days) AVG has found a virus called worm/lovsan A (MSLAUGH.exe)3 times in the last few days. Each time it "heals" it, but it seems to keep coming back. The problems I have found are that i cant disconnect my modem, start/search/files&folders doesnt work, and wierd things happen in my computer when I try to look at files (whole directories cannot be seen even when I select"show hidden/system files". Also, AVG will not allow me update itself, it gives me a message that it cannot establish a connection to the internet. Can this all be the work of a worm/virus? Any ideas? |

| 212138 | 2004-02-01 10:30:00 | it sounds like one of the msblast worms. did you get the correct spelling as theres nothing list by avg. is your windows updates upto date? have you got a firewall installed? "Windows 2000 users won't see the timer. However, they might see other effects from the RPC exploit. Such as: 1. Problems when creating email messages at least in Outlook and Outlook Express 2. Visual problems with Control panel 3. Add/Remove Programs does not work 4. Drag & Drop function does not work 5. Copy / Paste function does not work 6. some executables don't work 7. Problems with javascript 8. Some programs won't Save at all" |

| 212140 | 2004-02-01 10:34:00 | Just a note about AVG updating - I sometimes get that message if im using a lot of bandwidth (56k) and it doesn't go away for a while - you can always download the updates manually from www.grisoft.com and put them in your UPDATE folder. | HadO (796) | ||
