I have norton systemworks pro 2002 and norton personal firewall 2003. i downloaded a 15 day trial of Norton internet security 2004. after installing it and using it for a few days, i decided i didnt want it, so i unistalled the internet security. i had to re-install the firewall of course. hower when i did, it wouldnt load when i started windows, well it would appear in the tray with the red "disabled" X on it. I would have to enable it manually - however running it at all would not allow me to acess anything on the internet - all i was able to do was connect. then it told me that the integrity of its files could not be verified, and suggested i re-installed my firewall, that i did, but it still wouldnt work. i checked the log viewer for it, and it said, on every startup time, (from the time i unistalled NIS2004,) that the driver verification had failed, and that i should re-install. i did this again, and still it didnt work. i have to un-install the firewall to write this message, which is a shame because its a really good program. anyway- if anyone can help, that would be very nice, thanks! |
