212014	2004-02-01 02:15:00	Having recently worked over the holidays and aquired some money I recently brought a Geforce FX 5200 for my computer. I checked the requirements on the box and my computer fitted the Criteria. However when I got home and fitted it into my computer It screwed up. It would only display 16 colors and a resolution of 640x480. I installed the drivers on the cd that came with the card. But when it got to the restarting stage it just froze leaving me looking at a blank screen. I restarted and tryed to change the number of colors. Blank screen again. I check the device manger and it said that it was working. Later after many restarts an error message came up saying that there was something wrong with my hardware. pls help.	theseus (4158)
212015	2004-02-01 02:24:00	Firstly it would be great if you posted your system specs, mobo etc. Have you removed the drivers for you old card. If it's says hardware problem it could be you need to update the AGP controller driver, what chipset have you got on your mobo. I would remove the card install your old one and get it up and running then re-install the FX card making sure it''s seated properly in the AGP slot... what speed is you AGP slot. Failing all of the above I would take it back to the store and see if it works in another mobo or not. cheers chiefnz	chiefnz (545)

212018	2004-02-01 03:26:00	You need to go into System Hardware and in your graphics card's properties under Display Adapters go to the Driver Tab and select uninstall driver. Reboot the PC and Windows will load the default drivers. You can then install the drivers that came with your new grahics card.	tommy (2826)
