| 211982 | 2004-02-01 02:09:00 | My friend Andy from Wellington tells me he hasn't been able to find out how to backup his BIOS. He has carried out searches but not found an explanation of the exact process anywhere. He wants to upgrade his BIOS but make a backup before starting. Completely beyond me. Help please. Cheers Winston001 |

| 211983 | 2004-02-01 02:26:00 | the updateing program usually gives an optoin to back up bios before installing the new one. | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 211984 | 2004-02-01 02:29:00 | The installer programme for the new BIOS normally "suggests" making a copy of the current BIOS before writing out the new one. This should be explained in the "readme"/instructions file(s) which are in the package which expands to make the floppy which does the deed. Explore the floppy once it is made. :D The file isn't very big, so it's normally written to the floppy being used. |

| 211986 | 2004-02-02 07:33:00 | I don't know if this would help, but Gigabyte make a program called @Bios which has the ability to save the bios into a .bin file. I don't know if it will only work for Gigabyte motherboards or if it can be used in other systems |
