211944 2004-01-31 23:41:00 I have Outlook 2002 running on XP Home.

How can I delete an attachment I don't want, while still saving the text of the email?

211946 2004-01-31 23:50:00 I don't know if there is a simpler way, but one way would be to "Reply to:", then removing the sender's email address from the reply and replacing it with your own, then email it to yourself and delete the original email.

Otherwise copy and paste the contents of the email into a document and save that.

There has to be a simpler way though!

211948 2004-02-01 00:29:00 One of the best things about Eudora is that attachments are automatically separated and sent into their own folder. This gives you the option of keeping or deleting the ones you require whether attachments or messages with the minimum of fuss. ;-) Fire-and-Ice (3910)

Hi Odin, I have no idea if it works in Outlook Express as I only use the full Outlook program (as the original post requested). But one thing I think you need to do is make sure you open the email rather than just view it in a preview pane.
