211939 2004-01-31 23:32:00 Running XP Pro. I go to "start" to access "Help & Support" which should then give me access to system restore. Instead I get an error message "helpctr.exe is not a valid Win32 application" I have accessed the system restore tab thru My Computer, turning it off, rebooting, turning it on and so on but nothing. 211940 2004-01-31 23:37:00 Have you installed Toni Arts EasyCleaner? If so, what version.

You should be able to access System Restore via Start > Accessories > System Tools.

Do you mean you can now open up System Restore now via the alternative routes? What about the WinXP Help, does it still come up with the "helpctr.exe is not a valid Win32 application" message?

Have you been using the registry cleaner program called "Toni Arts EasyCleaner"? Any version prior to ver 2.0 had a bug in it, and it would also remove the registry files for the ME or XP Help. It is easy to fix, so if you have this program let me know and I will post the link for it. :)
