| 212008 | 2004-02-06 23:00:00 | Good location + Good Aerial + Only 2 way split = No need for an amplifier. Why persist in trying to get it to go? Why not connect the cable directly to the antenna, forget about the amplifier? Watch TV instead? |

| 212010 | 2004-02-06 23:37:00 | That is a VHF antenna for TV1/2/3. If there are not two separate downleads then your so called "booster box" may simply be a VHF/HUF combiner. Again, per my post on your latest thread, you are out of your depth and drowning. Give up, get help. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 212011 | 2004-02-06 23:51:00 | there is heaps of reasons why the amp is there. i've seen plenty of stupid sky techs install amps to cure non-related faults. yes the amp (if it is one, i'm assumeing you have actually looked inside it) will have voltage adjustments. i would bypass the amps, you should at least get a snowy pic. however unless your really keen to DIY then paying a few $$$ for a tech would have it sorted very quickly. |

My point exactly tweak'e, we have never been able to estabish for sure if it is a booster, and since two antennas will need some sort of combining unit and an antenna seems to have been removed by the previous residents, the possibilities for an open circuit connection are obvious. | 212013 | 2004-02-07 02:04:00 | Since watching TV too much has been shown to have a high correlation with developing Altzheimer's disease, this is actually a life-enhancing process . The healthy exercise climbing up and down to the aerial, and the not watching television are both positive factors . (Just don't fall off the ladder) . |
