| 211922 | 2004-02-02 20:29:00 | Chill. Our data loaded onto another drive. Motherboard replaced. Our 60gb reformatted. Data returned to our HD. Apart from a few teething problems it went well. Finding things etc. BUT, Could find no OE data, address & local folders. Shop Techie couldn't find them. Apparently rhe registry got screwed up by the MB failure. PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 211923 | 2004-02-04 22:26:00 | If you cannot find any *.dbx files then unfortunately it very much appears that the shop did not backup your OE emails along with your other data or they have not restored them from the drive they were backed up to. You could contact the shop to enquire whether the latter is the case or not. A professional computer repairer would have taken more care but it is always wise to backup everything you wish to save onto CDs yourself prior to having a computer seen to avoid this kind of thing happening. | tommy (2826) | ||

| 211925 | 2004-02-05 11:43:00 | I agree with tommy, go give the shop a bit of an earful, but not too much. The Documents and Settings Folder is one of the few folders you ALWAYS bacup for clients...! Even I know that... And practise that too...! Chill. |
