| 212293 | 2004-02-02 04:42:00 | Ok, this verisign thing is starting to really get under my skin. I did a post a couple of weeks ago to find out what it was and subsequent replies confirmed my suspicions. Now I want to get rid of it if ( if I can) everytime I log on to Windows, highlight files, delete files, Windows or something contacts the Verisign site, now this takes a while when I have like say 5 files selected. I hate the delays, is there any way I can stop this from happening, someone told me it's apparently integrated into windows in some way or another, is this true? i want to send Verisign to my bloody recycle bin! cheers chiefnz |

| 212294 | 2004-02-02 05:07:00 | Try this :- in internet explorer click... Tools>Internet Options> Click the ADVANCED TAB then scroll down to Security: UNCHECK the boxes that say "CHECK FOR PUBLISHERS CERTIFICATE REVOCATION" and "CHECK FOR SERVERS CERTIFICATE REVOCATION(requires restart)" |
