| 212216 | 2004-02-02 08:51:00 | Besides,a soft modem has no effect on a cpu over 400mhz,which is partly the reson they took off in popularity. Unless your in a rural location or have extremly poor lines then an external modem does not make 1 bit of difference. |

If the file was compressable, its a lot less (I allowed 10% for overheads) Thats within the abilities of a 56 kb modem. At the upper end of the abilities, unless it was highly compressable (not a jpg/mp3/mpeg compressed type file) in which case its probably below 40 Kb equivalent. |
