| 212826 | 2004-02-04 09:21:00 | Hi. Hey, i'm after something. I'll build it or buy it (as long as its not to $$$) but i don't even no if they exist/possible. What i wanna do, is create 6 headsets - with 1 earpiece, and a microphone, nothing flash, high quality etc. Its for a team game of paintball - 3 on 3, and i want it so each team can communicate with each other But i want them on 2 channels (3 on one channel, 3 on another - so u can't hear other people on the other team) and i want it so they not alwways on - they're always open to receive audio, but to say something, you have to press a butoon/swicth - so everyone doesn't hear each others breathing, footsteps & shots fired etc Liek i said, i don't no if its possible, but if it is, or if you can buy them, could someone please point me in the right direction |

| 212827 | 2004-02-04 09:26:00 | yep they exist. i've seen plenty of the cheap ones. dick smith type store should have them. the only thing i don't know is if you can lock the other teams channel out (or use a sytem like model aircraft do). | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 212828 | 2004-02-04 09:31:00 | we use a unit from Dick Smith at work,They have a range of bout 6km each and have all the gizmo's,ear piece, leather case.Very small and light weight, robust(our gear is lucky to last a month) and communication is clear. each unit costs round the $120 mark i think although you can go cheaper with less range.Case and headpiece is additional cost. |
