2004-02-04 05:55:00 | The battery is manufactured by Sony and I think it would be safe to assume that they're perfectly capable of making a battery. | Alasta (1420) | |

2004-02-04 07:35:00 | Well the Apple II I used around 1983 ( second hand ) was fine. I haven't used an Apple since I bought my first IBM compatible ( Amstrad PC20 ) running MSDOS. As far as I know Apple make good products but I won't buy one as they seem to be overpriced and I also have a big investment in software for the IBM compatible stuff.

2004-02-04 09:00:00 | I am not sure why the older Apples OSs apparently have such a good name - as I understand it they are cooperative multi-tasking c.f. pre-emptive multi-tasking which: 1. Windows has been since Win95 and Win NT 3 2. UNIX and Linux always have been. Apple OSX is based on OpenBSD UNIX - so it is good!

2004-02-04 10:08:00 | They're very stylish with remarkable design, but this comes at a cost. Also I think the OS is moving sideways rather than forward. Picking up more stuff before the next step. They're very careful, apple.

2004-02-04 19:35:00 | well i never had my own apple but have done some research into them and have used them on occasion. I am a pc lover to the end and would never own a mac, BUT after studing the way the processor works and designing some micros myself i would have to say that macs kick ass over pc's, the new G5 is an wicked machine but very over priced. They need to do what amd has done and steer away from using Mhz as a bench mark because it doesnt really give a good impression when comparring with a intel. Yes the iPod is also expensive and has had some problems, (i would not get the current model as they havent solved the battery issue), but they are a really cool device and i still think most other mp3 players are still trying to play catch up with them. Anyway thats my two cents for this post :) hope theres no flaming :)
