It might load the line too much though it shouldn't be type approved if it does. :D However, it used to be possible (though expensive) to have a leased line for alarms (so that if the line was cut, that would warn the monitoring board). I'm not sure if that is still available, but if that alarm is wired like that, a dial up connection can't work on the same line ---because it's a fixed connection. |
